River North

2 W Erie St., Chicago, IL 60611

Apogee is a rooftop bar that sits on the 26th-floor of the Dana Hotel. The terrace sports a colorful bar that is modern and elegant. The views of Chicago from the lounge are breathtaking. All of the drinks are not only look good but taste delicious too. We tried the Frose (frozen Rose) and immediately felt the effects, if you know what we mean.

Apogee is divided up into a bar, table and rooftop patio area. If you want seats at the table or patio, make reservations. You can walk up to the bar a sit without notice though.

Logan Square

3154 W Diversey Ave., Chicago, IL 60647

Cocktail connoisseur, Paul McGee, is the cocktail genius of Chicago. His tiki bar in Logan Square packs a major punch. The island vibes combined with potent cocktails makes Lost Lake the place to go to if you want to get tipsy and have fun.

Try the Twilight Gloom or Saturn in the House of Saturday Forever cocktail. All drinks come in a tiki cup or funky shaped glass. We especially loved the branded “Lost Lake” swizzle sticks!

Near East Side

85 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601

London House is both a hotel and a bar. The bar potion is TWO levels. The first levels are indoors with dining. The second level has another bar with outdoor seating and stunning views of the Chicago River, Lake Michigan and the Magnificent Mile.

It is the “happening spot” so the crowds on the patio level can get overwhelming. When making reservations, note which level you want a table on LH21 (indoors) or LH22 (outdoors). Pro tip: Skip reservations. Order your drink on LH21 then take it to the terrace on LH22. They have a second terrace you can step out on. Beat the line and view the city!

Streeterville

201 E Delaware Pl, Chicago 60611

Like Apogee, Drumbar is another bar that sits on top of a hotel. The 18th-floor bar is lush and chic. It has a seating area with tufted button leather sofas and fireplaces. Our favorite part was the black and white hallway. It had marble floors and green chairs.

You must visit Drumbar and try their Whiskey selections. They were voted best Whiskey Bar and features award-winning cocktails!
