I GOT A BRAND MANAGER
So I officially got a brand manager and you should too!
The job description of a manager varies. In general, they simplify the process, managing programs from start to finish with one point of contact and one consolidated payment. Basically, they make your life easier. Most operate on a commission. So they will take 10-30% of what you make when the deal is complete.
I recommend agencies you can apply to for a manager in this post.
I listed the basic goals and terms my manager and I agreed upon below. My current manager is not with an agency but runs it herself. I did get into the management programs of Shade and Shine. I will update you in a separate post on how that goes.
BASIC GOALS
$xxxK income for WTL
Find brands, add brands I recommend, and manage the brand contact list
Send a minimum of 20 pitch emails a month
Spending 1-2 hours per week pitching
10-30 minutes crafting each pitch email.
Secure 5-7 brand deals a month
Manage admin email account
Manage the campaign calendar for contracts you secure on Influence Kit
CC taylor@whattaylorlikes on all email correspondence
BASIC TERMS
I agree that it is xxx responsibility to obtain brand contracts, deals and help further any negotiations and/or such future contracts.
I agree to pay xxx her management fee in the following monthly paycheck after What Taylor Likes receives payment from the payroll/production company.
In addition, xxx will continue to receive her monthly Instagram Manager compensation in addition to the Brand Management compensation.
As a brand manager, xxx will receive the sum equal to ten percent (10%) on all gross monies from the brand collaboration initiated by her.
Goal is to make $8,330 per mo. with collaborations worth $4,000 at the minimum

PROS
There are several pros for having a manager. They find deals for you, handle all the pitching, and negotiates the best compensation figure.
What I like the most about having a manager is that they communicate with the brand. NOT YOU. I've notice brands do not take you seriously until the manager chimes in. For real.
Having a manager is life-changing and now I can focus more on content creation.
CONS
Having to pay commission is the only con so far.
