About The Granada Theater
The Granda Theater is a staple venue in Dallas. It has been the source of entertainment for many Texans since 1946. It is located in the historic Lower Greenville neighborhood - an area that is quickly becoming a thriving restaurant and nightlife scene.
A few fun facts:
1. Before the theater became an entertainment venue, it was originally built as a post-WWII movie theater.
2. The site re-opened in 2004 as a music theater and has since amassed several awards such as Best Live Music Venue, Top 10 Cultural Destinations in Dallas and more!
This theater is the place to be when it comes to music. Musical acts that have graced the theater’s stage over the years include Adele, Bob Dylan, The Black Keys, Alt-J, and many, many more.
Not only is the Granada Theater a great place to catch the latest and greatest music acts, it also serves as the perfect venue to hold special events. Sundown, the local farm-to-table restaurant at The Granada, has an amazing patio and killer brunch.
What is Free Week?
To celebrate The Granada, Free Week is the movie theater’s yearly ‘thank you’ to their fans who have support the Theater for 13 years. Starting next week, they will offer free live music and shows to all. Bands like Henry + The Invisibles, John Baumann, Shotgun Rider, and The Roomsounds will be performing. Each night has a theme - funk, Texas country, southern rock and indie. This gives people who haven't been to a concert in a while, or never before, a chance to see the theater.
To get in all you have to do is show up! Worried about the show being sold out? Get this - If you purchase a $5 ticket, you are guaranteed entry and your first drink is on them. No hidden fees, no service charges, nothing. It’s a celebration devoted to you!
