WHAT A WOMEN'S GYM IS LIKE: KAIA FIT

Women only! No men, pessimism or body shaming allowed here!

This week I had the pleasure of attending a fitness event at Kaia Fit in Farmers Branch, Texas. This event could not have come at a better time for me because I am looking for fitness classes that will inspire me to be healthier in 2017!

I know you are wondering, “What is Kaia Fit?”

Kaia Fit, similar to fitness franchise Curves, is a women’s only gym. What makes Kaia Fit different is that their programs combine High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with nutritional guidance from helpful coaches. The Kaia Fit Gym is not equipped with treadmills or cable bars. Instead, you’ll find that this gym takes the movements of full body sports and packs them into a group-based class.

The Kaia Fit website says, “At Kaia we focus on personal results achieved by working in a team atmosphere. Here, you’re surrounded by women helping each other accomplish common goals. You commit to your classmates each morning or evening. These women are what keep you accountable, inspired and driven. In turn, they are counting on you as well.”

I like to think of Kaia Fit as the supportive, female cousin to CrossFit!

I personally do not mind unisex health clubs and gyms. I have no problem going to the weighted section of the gym and lifting next to someone that looks like the Hulk. I do, however, like the idea that there is a women’s only gym that will positively support me and my fitness journey.

What do you think?

Would you rather attend a women’s only gym?  What are the pros and cons?

Leave me a comment down below. I would love to read your opinion! If you are new, join the tribe and subscribe to What Taylor Likes.

Until Next Time,
