Working with RewardStyle

I told some of you that I got 2 collaborations through the RewardStyle (rS). Meaning, companies found me through their database and wanted me to create a vegan food recipe using their products. In this post, I will talk about how I got picked, the scope of work required for some of my collaborations, compensation, and additional thoughts.

HOW I GOT PICKED

I really don't know how I got picked. I've been apart of rS since 2015/2016 but I haven't tried to sell anything with LIKEtoKNOW.it links until September of last year.

When I hit the $500 mark in sales, I got assigned to an Activation Team. According to them, they are supposed to guide me on strategic content planning and help me meet my business goals. They are focused on providing me with the education needed to use rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it products and tools that set you up for success from the start.

rS Activation Team said all of that in an email. To be honest, I still don't know what they do.

I am assuming that because I convert sales now and have an Activation Team....my name got highlighted as a blogger to work with. Again, I am not for sure but this is my theory.

COMPENSATION

I got paid $750 for both collaborations. My normal rate for the work described is $2,500. rS would not negotiate with me on compensation. I ended up taking the $750 since I did not work that much in December and need money for rent come February.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS

Working with rS was fine. They allowed me to create whatever content I wanted. When I sent drafts for review, I got minimal changes back. So overall, I recommend working with the team.

The only con is that I could not negotiate compensation at all. I would have liked $1,000 - $1,500 at the minimum for the scope of work listed above.
